A reporter told me that the Environmental NGOs who meet with Sask Ag succeeded in getting the Province to put a conservation easement on that 2200+ acre piece of native grass Crown land near Bengough. This is good news and easements are important conservation tools but if Crown land is sold there are public values an easement cannot protect.
